Block parties and street fairs temporarily use street space for social activities, bringing together neighbors and the wider community. They are simple, low-cost ways to create lively public space and utilize roadway space for social activity.

Process Overview

Block parties and street fairs must be approved by the Interdepartmental Staff Committee on Traffic and Transportation (ISCOTT). ISCOTT meets twice a month to review temporary street closure permits for special events.
